Holder decision-making

Standard and extended assessment: the difference

A comparison of standard and extended distressed-bond case assessments, and guidance on which variant fits which situation.

The scope of an assessment depends on the complexity of the case and on how much information the holder needs. Current parameters and prices for each variant are listed on the pricing page.

Standard assessment

Suited to cases with clear documentation, where the holder mainly needs the state of the case and the broad options verified.

The output is a summary and a recommended next step.

Extended assessment

Suited to more complex cases — multiple issues, unclear documentation, parallel proceedings or declared security.

It includes deeper analysis of the documents and a more detailed comparison of options.

How to choose

Rough guidance.

  • one issue and complete documentation → usually standard
  • several issues or missing documents → rather extended
  • ongoing proceedings or declared security → rather extended

What neither variant does

Neither provides legal representation, files submissions on your behalf, nor promises an enforcement outcome.

They are input for a decision, not a guarantee of its result.

Practical next step

If you are unsure about scope, describe what you have when submitting the case and a suitable variant can be recommended.
