Holder decision-making

Individual buyout request: how to submit it

How to submit an individual buyout request for a distressed bond, what information to include and what happens next.

An individual buyout request suits a holder who already knows they want to settle and mainly needs to know whether, and on what terms, that is possible.

What to include

The more precise the input, the faster the answer.

  • issuer and issue name, ISIN if one exists
  • nominal value and number of units
  • maturity date and what has been paid so far
  • a short description of communication with the issuer
  • information about any proceedings you are aware of

What happens next

Verification of the documents, assessment of the claim, and an answer on whether settlement is possible and on what terms.

No amount can be quoted without documents; any earlier 'price' would be unsupported.

What does not bind you

Submitting a request is not a commitment to sell. You decide only once you have a concrete offer and its terms.

Have the contract text reviewed by your own lawyer.

Data protection

The documents contain personal data and are handled in line with our privacy policy.

Keep copies of everything you send.

Practical next step

Prepare the issue identification and your subscription and payment records — with those the request moves fastest.
